The “Stars with Cellulite” issue? Inside front cover/page 2, he gave four homeless people $100 as he was coming out of the gym. That’s about it. No mention of a companion, said he didn’t even get off the phone.

According to brandweek:

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will star in the Get Smart TV spots as his character, Agent 23. A retro-cool silhouette of the movie’s stars will appear on the drink labels and packaging. The Pepsi brand has created extensive in-store materials and spy-centric consumer offers around the theme….full story

Do you smell what the “Barock” is cookin!

Well if anyone remembers I had up a feature post on the site a fews weeks back about Barack Obama and The Rock? Well guess what Barack came to the WWE on Monday night raw and he had to mention one of the rock’s infamous one liners in his speech.

 Obama borrowed the signature line from former WWE champion Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in a warning to the special interests in Washington. “Do you smell what Barack is cooking?” Obama asks.

Hillary Clinton also vowed to drop the people’s elbow

Nice to see the WWE using it’s pull to encourage it’s fans to get involved and be aware and to VOTE! 

Make a difference network gets celebrity attention

I thought this would be an interesting read. The organization for the cause that we are trying to raise money for through the DJ Bday Project The MTDN is getting some attention from celebrities:

Actress Jessica Biel is involved in the launch of Make the Difference Network, and the site that connects people to nonprofits will be run by her father Jon Biel and social entrepreneur Kent McBride. MTDN.com makes cutting-edge Web technology readily available to participating nonprofits and matches nonprofit organizations with potential donors. 

Other celebrities are using MTDN to help spread the word about their own nonprofit organizations or to support their favorite nonprofits on the site. For example, Dwayne Johnson, Chairman/Founder of The Rock Foundation, is using MTDN to promote his organization that provides programs designed to enrich and empower the lives and self-esteem of children who are hospitalized for medical disabilities, disorders and illnesses. Gabriel Union, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Karolina Kurkova, Brian Griese, Elaine Hendrix, Bode Miller, Jordan Paul, Michelle Roark and Josh Peek are also involved.

I think this is great! It’s gets more people aware and more help for the non-profit causes sponsored by celebrities!

Right now we have 50.00 going for the donation to a cause for Dwayne’s charity again were raising money to send Clothing to Underprivilidged Kids in Rock’s Toy Chest: Lesotho Africa. Dwayne to appear on Idol Gives Back

EDIT: Dwayne did not appear as originally advertised! I guess he didn’t make the cut..sucks for us.

I just found out about this from prowrestling.net:

Tonight! 4/9/08 on American Idol John Cena, Triple H, Chris Jericho, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be among the celebrities appearing on tonight’s “American Idol” on FOX. (I bet Dwayne’s appearance will be taped) The show is dubbed “Idols Gives Back” and will also feature appearances the big three presidential candidates. During the show, viewers will be able to make donations to the various causes via internet or phone. Last year, the fundraising effort raised US$75 million for charities including the Children’s Defense Fund and the Children’s Health Fund.
